Peninsula Residents Association
Our Aims & Objectives
The Peninsula Residents Association/Group aims to serve as a non-partisan forum and give the Woy Woy Peninsula community a collective voice on matters affecting its quality of life. It is committed to protecting and improving the Peninsula's liveability and sustainability including social and environmental aspects.
Its objectives are to:
Openly disseminate information, discuss and identify the concerns and needs of the Peninsula residents.
Represent and advance the interests of residents at local community level, and with Local Government, and State and Federal Government bodies.
Seek to improve the infrastructure, amenities and services available to residents and the Peninsula community.
Advocate responsible planning and development of the Peninsula, its neighbourhoods and adjacent areas, with Council, other government agencies, community and business groups.
Encourage strong community engagement and participation in the decision making of Council and other bodies.
Collaborate with other groups on matters of mutual interest.
Undertake and help coordinate other activities which benefit and/or improve the liveability of residents and the Peninsula community.
Scope of residential areas:
The Woy Woy Peninsula covers the geography from Rip bridge, Staples look-out and Spike Milligan bridge which includes the suburbs of:
Woy Woy
Blackwall
Umina
Ettalong Beach
Booker Bay
Woy Woy Bay
Horsfield Bay
Phegans Bay
Pearl Beach
Patonga.
